This time the news is about cancel rather than delay: the Wall Street Journal has announced that the AT&T has cancelled shipping the Nokia X7. Just several days ago, the AT&T branded Nokia X7 spotted in the wild and brought us the news that it will be on AT&T shelves as soon as in this month. But now AT&T has decided to quit the phone without giving any reasons. The WSJ also said that the Nokia X7 will ship Espoo’s behest instead, but for the launch date no one can tell now. So if you go to AT&T stores and ask for showing the Nokia X7 in the coming weeks, you will be responded as “Never”.
As reported, the Nokia X7 runs the Symbian^3 and this operating system is not bad somehow, the only pity is that it got a bad UI and can’t be customised as Android. At the same time, the Nokia X7′s display resolution (640 x 360) is slow for such a large 4-inch screen. Despite the 8MP camera with dual-LED flash, this smartphone can’t match well with other hot high-end devices, such as the HTC Mecha and the LG Optimus 2X. The source has said that AT&T didn’t plan to provide the market support that the phone needs, so Nokia just cancelled the phone’s US launch. Maybe AT&T just focused on the very hot Android system or the iPhone, and wanna embrace more phones running Android rather than the Symbian. So is it a hint that Nokia has lost consumers’ love in the US? Well, if so, Nokia has to seriously take this phenomenon into consideration and actually do something to improve his own boys.
