Dell Venue Pro (aka Dell Lightning) is one of the latest Windows Phone 7 handsets that will come to T-Mobile USA later this year. The device features a vertical sliding QWERTY form factor, which is quite special to those horizontal ones.
The Dell Venue Pro cell phone has a 4.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display. Such a big screen can help users see more clearly, thus making their work and entertainment activities become more smoothly and comfortably. At the bottom of the screen lies trio touch-sensitive buttons, that is back, home and search, all of which seemed responsive in our short time with the device. What’s more, the screen itself is made from extra-tough Gorilla glass, very tough and durable, you don’t worry if it fall down by mistake. Beneath the screen is a four-row rubber-feeling keyboard. Additional features include a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 3.5mm headset jack on the top and a 5MP camera on the back.
However, the frustrating point is its short battery life, only 3 hours of talk time. People who making phone calls frequently may feel disappointed. Though its battery isn’t good enough, everything else makes up for that, especially the large touchscreen display.
In a nutshell, Dell Venue Pro features vertical form factor, has a big and tough touchscreen display and uses sharp-looking OS. For those who are fond of vertical form factor with the latest WP7 OS and want to switch to T-Mobile, the Venue Pro will be the best choice.
