HTC Merge phone for Alltel, pre-orders available now

The HTC Merge (aka the Lexikon) pops up on Alltel’s website, showing the pre-orders available there from March 28. Having been unveiled at the end of last year, there’s little news as far as the phone’s availability or the carrier information. Although it has been rumored to land multiple carriers in Spring this year, HTC officials haven’t given any hints on that yet. Now the HTC’s first Android CDMA world phone finally makes his way straight to US with a pretty reasonable price tag of $124.99 under a regular 2-year contract. So the HTC Merge won’t cost you much, while the pity is that you still have to wait several days for the delivery.

HTC has done a good job recently on creating unique solutions that can meet the need of different customers, like the HTC EVO 3D for high tech addicts and the HTC Merge for average users. Meanwhile, by making such devices with the features like a full physical keyboard as well as global 3G roaming, the Merge will be the strong evidence for supporting this claim. As for the features of this smartphone, it sports a large 3.8-inch touchwiz screen and combines a physical slide-out keyboard with the power of Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, besides, the phone’s rear reveals a 5MP camera, all of which has created a complete nice mobile experience for those looking for a complete Android smartphone.
