Now look what we’ve got here through FCC files! Here a Motorola branded smartphone that dubbed IHDT56MJ1 turns up in the FCC, though we can’t figure out anything about the phone from the screen shots, the live images of the device matches well with the Motorola Droid X without a red dedicated camera button on the phone’s side. So we guess it’s the unannounced Motorola Droid X’s follow-up, the Motorola Droid X2. Well, through the website, this device is said to come with CDMA radio, so we would like to say with great confidence that this smartphone is coming to Verizon or Sprint Wireless in the near future.
By judging from the live images, if the device is actually Motorola Droid X 2, it’s basically another Droid Bionic without four capacitive Android buttons or 4G-like experience. These Motorola branded devices that have been released or remained in the wild are just look the same, which doesn’t seem like a good way for Motorola’s phone promotion.
Well, as for the rumored features of the Motorola Droid X’s follow-up, we still have some info to glean about, just like a dual-core CPU, 4.3-inch screen with high resolution of 540×960 pixels and an 8MP rear facing cam. Considering the lack of front facing cam in Motorola Droid X2 and the device in the picture also presents the same feature that without a front camera, we’d guess the phone in FCC will be probably the Droid X2. Anyway, the report above is from guess, so we’d like to keep you updated when we got more official information about the device.
