New Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo cell phone gets FCC approval, suggesting an AT&T shipment

FCC has newly approved a new device called Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo cell phone, which hasn’t been officially announced in North America yet. According to the leaked document, this smartphone is allowed to work under 850MHz and 1900MHz, which means that it is 3G capable and an AT&T shipment won’t be that far away from us.

In order to stay competitive with the upcoming onslaught of high-end Android based devices in the phone market, Sony has decided to launch this smartphone, which gonna feature the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread right out of box. Till this moment, it is still unknown which carrier will launch the device, but the document has dropped a hint that AT&T might given away the answer to this mystery probably. As for the phone itself, its design and dimensions are pretty similar to what we have already experienced with the other device called Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro. But the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo has an additional slide-out keyboard, which makes it much more attractive than its cousin for those heavy messaging customers.

Inside, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo does pack a few surprises, such as the Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.7-inch touchwiz screen, an 8MP rear-facing camera as well as a front-facing shooter for video chatting. So is there anyone showing interest in this device?
