Firstly let’s be absolutely clear that the Nokia E7 smartphone is delayed and it will never appear on the shelves this year. According to what the Finnish company said, the Nokia E7 is to begin shipping in early 2011 in order to “ensure the best possible user experience”. What a pity, since there are many people eager to give this polished and portrait-sliding Symbian based smartphone a try, but now those people will be waiting longer than anticipated.
This is the second smartphone that suffered delay after the Dell Venue Pro. Maybe those carriers and manufactures don’t think it’s a good time to launch a new device when so many smartphones having been throwing into the promotion in this Christmas season. Besides, with the similar high-end specs, the Google Nexus S has already been claimed to launch Best Buy this Thursday. In a word, the December is really a hot and busy month.
Running the Symbian 3 operating system and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard as well as the gorgeous design, the Nokia E7 can be regarded as the best business smartphone across the market. It is packing a large 4-inch display, an 8MP camera with 720p video recording, Bluetooth 3.0 as well as GPS ans WiFi connectivity. Overall all the features seem enough for a device being commercial ready.
Some people may think that the Nokia E7 is stepping down since the N8 is coming with a 12MP camera while the E7 only has an 8MP one. So let’s hope this smartphone will be better or actually has something improved when released next year.
