It seems that more specs of the upcoming LG Revolution are available, and according to the feature list on the paper, we’ve got a chance to know about the phone’s CPU. As LG’s first 4G smartphone that obviously rolling on Verizon’s LTE network, this device is rocking the MSM8655 processor and the L2000 rather than the NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset, which processor can be found on the HTC Thunderbolt that destined for Verizon, too. So your dreams of expecting a NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 based device from Verizon might be broken.
Just as previously said, the LG Revolution sports a 4.3-inch display with high resolution, a large memory up to 32GB, a 5MP camera with dual LED flash as well as a 1.3MP for video calling. Besides, the device is WiFi capable, in which case users are able to share that LTE connection with up to 8 devices. Still no words on whether the dual-core or single core inside the phone, but in fact there’s no perceivable difference when in some user-cases, except when it comes to such things like playing games or browsing the web or download apps, you can find the difference. By presenting it that way I just don’t want to deny that moving to a faster hardware like rocking dual-core CPU or NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 is nonsense, but the point I’d like to stand on is the fact that at least for now, there aren’t so many user cases which really show a significant difference.
